Hey All,

I am proud to bring to you a new line from Celestial Dreams... I have started creating jewelry and I hope you like it!

Styles are inspired by modern princess fashion.

Here are just a few of the new styles:

Precious Rings is a double stack of bright gold, but the set comes with dark silver, bright silver and gold.

I love these chunky funky earrings, large hoops have tapered spikes with end in chunky drops of ruby and topaz. They skim the shoulder line.

This morning at the crack of dawn I created this really glitzy over the top diamond and ruby tiara set. It is so luscious and I know you are going to love it!

Working with the beadrezzer and also learning some new nano zoom techniques. I discovered I really LOVE creating jewelry, and I also LOVE wearing it!

Love, Govega!

Weekend Freebies and SALES

Hi all followers and fellow second lifers... things are getting very interesting here in second life... I have been very busy in rl but am able to slip a few minutes or hours (lol) a day in refining building techniques and adding new things... now currently working on some attachments and yes, I am starting to work on some jewelry too, enjoying this quite a lot right now.

My newest creation, similar to my Aqua Dove is the Amethyst Dreams skirt set... a puffy mini, bodice on top, puffy rose attachment, matching capris and fingerless arm gloves for those times you need to RUN or fly, ha ha.. and a chunky pentacle starred necklace to go with the set.

This set is the deepest, richest purple color, quite a jewel tone and is the HOT color of the fall. I hope you enjoy this set, it looks really luscious with dark brown or auburn hair and is only $25L including the necklace!.

I am continuing my Weekend Freebies and this weekend offered Turquoise Dreams gown, one of my most popular gown sets, and people are scooping this one up... I will keep it free for perhaps a few more days, so scoop it up too!

Enjoy!

Still creating items almost constantly. Some weeks are better than others with time constraints and other factors ... I put together a great new version of my Goth Lola called Goth Pink Lola, very sweet... and I have been told, the outfit is gorgeous.

I also created a new ballgown with a very slow gravity pull called "Midnite Dreams". This lovely low key ballgown has a sheer under blouse with a matching pearl drop collar, two tiered flexi skirt, and underskirt. Great for dark haired avis...a deep midnite blue that looks very scrumptious.

This weekend I rolled out my "Weekend Freebies" line. You never know what I am going to offer as a freebie for a few days, so check my online store https://marketplace.secondlife.com/stores/52214 and don't forget to visit Celesital Dreams inworld too! Thanks!

(Above, got someone to pose for me at Artbox and recreated the famous dust bowl painting, American Gothic.)

In my RL, I do historical reenacting, the reason being, I really love the clothes of different eras far better than our own!

Recently I uploaded version 2 of my Robe Angelaise, an open robed gown with a satin petticoat and a cap.

Yesterday and today I was working on a muslin gown from the 1812 era... I am calling it my Jane Austin Muslin. With luck, I may have it listed tonight. It consists of an empire height gown, sashed by a wide blue satin belt, puff sleeves in the same material, and a matching high-crown bonnet with a blue satin ribbon accent. Sandals complete this set. I really like how this came out, it really has a historical feel to it. Tell me what you think!

More designs and more new Marketplace postings!

Wow, this last week has been a whirlwind of activity as I continue to try to create and add items to the New Marketplace.

I have added a ton of new items, as well as some older ones that are still popular, and some never lsited on Xstreets.

Aqua Dove is a sweet little mini skirt capri combo that was never listed on Xstreets so it is being offered for the first time. I had fun making this one and it is great for navigating around town.
I love how the puff sheer sleeves look on this one and the great rose self-fabric accent. Also, the mini is so ruffly, 36 prims are in this little skirt!

Also brand new this week is a formal dress I call Black Ruby. It has a classic cinched waist with a flare skirt, and a matching corset, all done in a very dark red that is almost black. Look closely and you will see that the skirt has a dark lace pattern in it. Very sexy and understated.

As the weekend approaches, I am hoping to work on more items, and hopefully, some prim feet
shoes if I can master the techniques used to make them!

Back to my Roots!

When I was a little girl, my grandmother went back to Austria for the first time since she escaped the Holocaust in 1940. She brought me back an authentic Austrian dirndl from the city of Vienna, her home town.

Now, in the same spirit, I bring to you Innsbruck . A modern version of a classic which is still worn often by many of the Austrian woman. Great for an Oktoberfest gathering or any where else you want to really stand out from all the steampunk and vampire stuff happening these days on SL.

This set, which took almost a week to design, includes: a pretty lace flexi apron, flexi skirt, slate blue bodice, underblouse detached puff sleeves, (not shown) and slate blue pumps with invisprims that make them look realistic and that really fit your feet!

New York- a wedding ensemble
9/11/01

How clearly I remember that day. And how clear the day was. Beautiful, stark blue, not a cloud in the sky. As an astronomer, you notice those things.

When I first saw the fires burning, I was incredulous. I kept thinking, how the heck are they going to get firefighters all the way up those levels to fight the blaze? Helicopters? Huge cranes? Impossible helplessness started to creep into my heart.

Then, when the first tower fell, we were incredulous. We didn't just see what we saw?!

Later in the day, a step outside revealed a long black plume of smoke and dust that trailed for fifty miles... the smell was indescribable, a combination of hot dust, metal and plastic burning and God knows what else.

I will never forget that day.

9/11/10
In commemoration of that sad day, Celestial Designs brings to you an uplifting dream of hope. This ensemble is as edgy as the city of New York, but sophisticated enough to wear in any Second Life town for your nuptials.

A super ruffly, double skirt in an icy satin. An oblique-cut blouse. Over the elbow gloves with bow accents. A frosty white pillbox hat with a veil attached. Delicate little sandals complete this outfit. This is New York. This is the heart of the city. Wear this one on your wedding day, or just around some of your favorite places. I find it turns heads wherever you go.

(above, my storefront, Celestial Designs, @ Eye Candi)

So here I am writing about my second life experience. A short history.

Over four years ago I logged onto Second Life for the first time... I found that, although I loved the idea of a virtual world, the controls were so clunky and so un-intuitive that it too more work than fun, so my first experience with SL was very short-lived.

In the last few years I have tried other virtual worlds, really enjoying Small Worlds and the mission making and artists communities there. However, even that became boring after a while so, after seeing a relative very involved in SL, I decided to log on again.

And... instantly, I thought, this is great, but what exactly do I do here besides talk to other people and travel to different sims? It seemed there was no way to make money, either.

Then came along clothing design.

I am, after all, an artist at heart, with many artistic people in my family.

And, also, I am a clothing designer, in RL I run the Revwarcostuming group on Yahoo, a costume group for historical re-enactors with a membership of several thousand. I have created dozens of pieces of historical clothing using authentic patterns and fabrics. Reenacting to me is, all about the look.

In SL I find I am able to create beautiful, fanciful clothing without threading a needle or yielding a pair of scissors. And... I like it! I am getting very used to the interface, I have been reading, I have been watching, and I have been creating!

I like it...did I mention that yet?

Next thing you know, I am renting a little storefront in a very sophisticated shopping mall called run by Candi Crystal called Eye Candi. And I am creating....
